Sun Valley

Sun Valley is one of my favorite vacations that happens every other year with my mom's side of the family. This year the crew was much smaller than usual, but it turned out to be just as fun. With Mark Nelson as the fun sheriff, there was no shortage of activities to do. We mountain biked, went on runs, shopped, shot guns, went to the pool, golfed, had a camp out, and ate lots of food.

We had epic rounds of catchphrase, and competed in Dots. I beat Layton's score by 3, but the battle continues! 

I plowed through a book on the trip. A murder mystery: PostMortum, by Patricia Cornwell. Such a thriller, and page turner, plus I absolutely love her writing. Dr. Kay Scarpetta is my hero!

one year down...

Happy one year anniversary to us! June 19th, 2012 will forever be a special day. People always tell us that the first year is the hardest... but if that was supposedly the hardest, then bring on the rest of our lives!  Ever since being married a year ago, life has been full of happiness and love. It has been a year we will never forget. Some highlights of our first year of marriage were...

- Layton getting into his dream law school... UVa! After such a long process with the LSAT and applications we feel so blessed to get in. We are so excited and will be moving to Charlottesville in about 6 weeks to start our new adventure! Here he is the day he found out...

- Completing my Senior Recital was an amazing feeling, and a moment I will never forget! I am so grateful to all who came to support me. I am also very grateful it went well, and that I was happy with my performance.

- Graduating from the University of Utah. Andrew, Layton, and Lauren all graduated the same day!

- Celebrating FIRSTS! Every holiday and birthday was even more special because it was our first time celebrating them as a married couple!
